- Readers close the book still wanting more of them. An official AI companion of your character lets readers talk to them one on one, and it remembers each reader: their name, their week, what they said last time.
- Never trained on your books
- Nothing is trained on your writing. The companion is written from character notes you approve, and you can veto anything it says or does. Nothing goes live without your yes.
- You keep the rights
- It is a licence for the character's name, look and personality, not a sale. If you self-publish you likely hold these rights yourself; if a publisher holds them, we will need their yes too.
- 80% of what it earns
- 80% of everything your companion earns, from every fan who talks to it however they found it, for as long as the licence runs: their subscription in proportion to the time they spend with yours, and every purchase made on it. Net of card fees, refunds and chargebacks.
- It texts them first
- A good morning, a "how did it go?" after the thing they mentioned. Voice notes and live calls too, in nine languages.
- No cost, nothing exclusive
- We build and run it at our expense. Nothing is exclusive: keep every platform, every deal and every fan you have.
- We launch you
- On day one your companion is announced to Calla's own users, with the official badge and a page of your own. Fans you did not bring count too.
- Paid monthly
- In US dollars once your balance passes $50, by Paxum or bank wire, with a monthly statement of who talked to it, what it earned and your share.
- You can end it any time
- Email us and it comes down within 24 hours, usually at once. Your share is paid up to the day it ends.
How it works
- 1.Apply below with your pen name and the character readers ask about most. A person answers by email.
- 2.Send character notes: how they talk, what they would never do, their history, the cover art or a description of their look.
- 3.We write the companion and draw their look. You read it, talk to it and approve it. Nothing goes live without your yes.
- 4.It goes live with the official badge and a page of its own. Share your link in your newsletter or reader group, to 18+ readers only.
Adults only, both ways: every character is an adult and reads clearly as one, and you share your link only with 18+ readers (never on TikTok or YouTube). Original characters you hold the rights to only.
Questions
Is anything trained on my books?+
No. The companion runs on a general language model and is written from the notes you approve: no manuscript, no excerpts, no training on your text. You can ask us to change or remove anything it says.
Can it be a monster, an orc, a fae prince, a villainess?+
Yes, as long as they are an adult and read clearly as one. Monster, fantasy and dark romance heroes are all welcome, inside our content policy (no minors, no non-consent, nothing between people too closely related to marry).
How is my share counted?+
By what your companion earns, not by who clicked which link. A subscriber's payment counts in proportion to how much of their chatting that month was with your character, and every coin spent on it counts in full. 80% of that is yours, every month, for as long as the licence runs.
Will readers think it's me?+
No. It is your character, not you, and readers are told it is an official AI companion made with your permission.
What if I change my mind?+
Email us and it comes down within 24 hours. Nothing is exclusive, and the character stays yours throughout.
