Mozilla's Privacy Not Included team reviewed CrushOn.AI on 7 February 2024 and gave it their warning label. They found the privacy policy mentions “health data” 23 times, including “Use of prescribed medication; Gender-affirming care information; Reproductive or sexual health information,” lists chats and character creation as a source of that data, and says both can be used to “train AI models” and for “Business Purposes.” Mozilla could not confirm the service meets its Minimum Security Standards.

The same review notes CrushOn can share personal information, potentially including health data, with third parties and with affiliates Peekaboo Tech Inc., Peekaboo Tech Ltd. and Peekaboo Game Ltd., and that the 18+ rule is enforced by a checkbox. Its chat disclaimer reads “Everything AI says is made up! … You are not allowed to chat about underage, suicide, or criminal topics,” while Mozilla found characters on the first page of the catalog whose descriptions crossed those lines.

The AI Incident Database lists three incidents naming CrushOn.AI: Mozilla's February 2024 findings; a January 2025 case in which a Massachusetts man agreed to plead guilty to cyberstalking after allegedly using CrushOn.ai and JanitorAI to impersonate his victims through chatbots; and a March 2025 report on thousands of user-made chatbots across several platforms that allegedly promoted self-harm, eating disorders and the sexualisation of minors.

CrushOn's own pricing page sat behind a bot check every time we tried to read it. Independent reviews updated in 2026 put the free tier at 100 message credits a month with ads between sessions and an 8K-token memory window, and paid plans at $5.99, $14.99 and $49.90 a month with 16K to 24K memory. Treat those as reported, not confirmed by CrushOn.
