Their own documentation says free users' companions keep “around 20 recent messages”, on a 4,096-token context. Even the top tier is “close to 100 previous messages” in short-message chats. Anything outside that window, in their words, “the AI may no longer use”.
Is the $5.95 SpicyChat tier worth it for memory?+
Not for memory. Per their documentation, Get A Taste has the same 4,096-token context as the free plan. The first tier that improves it is True Supporter at $19.95 a month, which is also where Semantic Memory starts.
Did SpicyChat raise prices?+
Yes, on 8 September 2026. Get A Taste went from $5.00 to $5.95, True Supporter from $14.95 to $19.95 — a 33% rise — and I'm All In from $24.95 to $29.95. The company described it as “purely a price change — every tier keeps exactly what it includes today.” Existing subscriptions were grandfathered.
Why is SpicyChat not on the App Store?+
