Is Kindroid still being updated?+
Very much so, and it deserves credit for it. A full V2 shipped in August 2026 with new navigation, Learned Context and avatar slots, and in December 2025 Kindroid increased memory sizes without raising prices. It is rated 4.8 on the App Store. If you want the most actively developed product in this category, it is this one.
What do people complain about with Kindroid?+
Mostly repetition and continuity — characters reusing the same phrases, or confusing their own history — and the cost of voice, which is metered separately. The store rating is high; the grumbles are about price stacking and drift, not whether it works.
