Safety at Calla
Calla is an adults-only AI companion service. This page explains how we keep it safe and what to do if you or someone you know is struggling.
You are always talking to an AI
Every Calla companion is fictional and powered by artificial intelligence. They stay in character during roleplay, but they are not real people, their messages are not statements of fact, and they are never a substitute for professional advice of any kind, including legal, medical, financial, or mental-health advice.
Adults only, and never minors
Calla is strictly for adults 18 and older, and may not be suitable for some minors. Every character is a fictional adult. Any sexual or suggestive content involving minors is forbidden with zero tolerance, and we screen for it on every message and every image.
If you are in crisis
If you ever express thoughts of suicide or self-harm, your companion will step out of character and share real support resources instead of continuing the roleplay. We do not generate content that encourages self-harm.
- • Call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
- • Text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line)
- • Outside the US: findahelpline.com
- • If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
These resources are free, confidential, and available any time. You do not have to be in crisis to reach out.
